The registration of race bikes for the Daytona Vintage races at the AMI
Vocational Training Center a few miles west of the Daytona International
Speedway. AMI was originally a motorycle vocational school. It still is but
also trains for working on marine and watercarft too. We visited on Sunday
morning March 2, 2003.
On Sunday morning just before the vintage races on Monday at the Daytona
Speedway the vintage racers gather at the AMI complex to register for the
races. This is a fun place to see the race bikes up close. There is no fee
and lots of cycle riders come by to see the sights. Unfortunately it rained
a bit but that did not keep the cycles away. Lots of pictures of the grounds
and vintage cycles.
