Vintage Focus copyright Version 1.0 Dec 2007
This is a collection of 2500 photos of Sportsters and
Old Harleys taken in 2007. This was the 50th anniversary (1957-2007)
of Harleys famous
sport bike created to take on the British invaders. So serveral of the
meets I attended had special exhibits to celebrate Sportsters. Hence we
have over 900 photos of just Sportsters and K, KH, and KHK. But of course
we also photographed every Old Harley we came across too. If you had
attended the 18 meets and exhibitions covered by these photos and liked to
look at Sportsters and old Harleys this collection is a good representation
of what you might have seen. Many motorcycles have a full 16 photo profile
showing great detail while other motorcycles have 5 views and some are a
single photo bike and rider going past.
The photos have been divided into 4 folders
based expected interest. They are:
1. Sportsters - 900 photos of Sportsters and the earlier K, KH, KHK models
with emphasis on the early years but there are some later Sportsters too.
2. Old Harleys - 1200 photos of Harleys (except Sportsters) from the
earliest years up through the 1970s
3. Italian Harleys - 300 photos of the Aermacchi Harleys of the 1960s and
early 1970s.
4. Other Harleys - 100 photos of Servi-Cars, Hummers, and a Topper scooter
If you appreciate Harleys you will enjoy this collection of photos
that gives a pictorial history of this great American Marque.
Vintage Focus traveled to 18 motorcycle meets and exhibits during 2007.
When possible we traveled by motorcycle but sometimes by plane and auto.
Our objective was to take as many photos as possible of the motorcycles we
encountered. Often this was a full 16 photo profile of the motorcycle showing
great detail. The situations were often challenging with tight spaces, low
light and movement but we did the best we could and even enjoyed the extra
flavor these real life situations added to the photographs. We ended the year
with 33,000 photos added to our collection. We attended some great meets and
saw many very special motorcycles. The vast majority of the photos
are of good quality but we move very quickly when photographing and
a few are a little blurry or too light or too dark but we included as many as
we could on our CDs and DVDs for completeness. A customer might just want
to see a particular view even if the photo is slightly off.
The CD is like a big folder of files. You put the CD in your computer
and bring up the CD as a folder
and click the first photo to have it displayed and then your viewer
should allow you
to move forward and back and display them as a slide show. You can click on
each folder to see the photos grouped within the folder. You will be able
to see detail and zoom in. Many cycles have
16 views. If the owner has an indentification label then a photo of that is
included otherwise the motorcycles are not identified but your should have
more than enough detail to identify it yourself.
Sometimes there are fewer views or just a single photo of bike and rider going
by. The CD has 2500 photos on it as 1280x960 jpeg files. The photos in each
folder
are grouped by the events the photos were taken at. And the events are ordered
chronologically by the date they occured (earliest to latest).
As you step to a new event there are a few slides with a short description
about the event. The photo file names start with the year (e = 2007) and event
(a through r). Slides are included that lists all events and their tag letter
and date. So a photo starting with eb is a 2007 Half Moon Bay photo. The CD ID
is CD 07_20
The DVD was made to celebrate Sportsters so all 900 Sportster photos are on
it plus around 600 Old Harley photos so around 1500 photos in total. The
DVD is like a Slideshow movie with background music and special effects for the
transitions between slides. The DVD can be supplied in NTSC (US and Canda)
format or PAL (Most other places). I will supply the format standard for your
country unless your specify different. The DVD ID is DVD 07_20
