Italian motorcycles have a certain artistry that stands out from all others.
Imagine spending the day among 100s parked in rows by make for you to enjoy.
That is exactly what happened August 17 2003 in Sturbridge MA. There was a
large gathering of bikes from the 1950s right up to brand new.
We arrived 9AM before many had arrived and left around noon when most but
not all had arrived. The weather was nice for a change. We concentrated on
the older bikes but got lots of photos of newer bikes too.
The Italian Motorcycle Owners Club (IMOC) holds and annual rally in the summer.
This year was the 20th rally and was held at the Hamilton Rod and Gun Club in
Sturbridge MA which is a nice facility somewhat secluded with a pretty pond
and nice meadow to park bikes on. It also has a big open dinning hall for
cover if needed. This year the featured marque was Benelli. Admission was $5
and a swap meet space was $20. Food and refreshments were available on site.
