If you attend vintage motorcycle swap meets you likely have seen the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club (VJMC) booth and flag with the red circle. They are a dedicated bunch who promote the preservation, restoration, and enjoyment of vintage Japanese motorcycles (greater than 15 years old). Since Japanese motorcycles comprise the largest group of motorcycles since about 1960 there are plenty to be found and restored or perhaps just fixed up a little to ride. Individual members often hold cookouts in their region during the summer. This is what Chris Tebbetts did at her home in Gilford NH. This is just a stones throw from the famous Weirs Beach gathering place of Laconia Bike Week fame. Chris has a very nice collection of over 30 vintage Hondas. She put all these bikes on display with detailed information attached to each one. The cookout was held on Sunday October October 16.

I rode over from Cornish NH (about 60 miles) on my 1980 Suzuki GN400 single. This is very reliable motorcycle that regularly get 70+ mpg no matter what speed I travel. The weather was cold, overcast, and gusty so although there was a good turn out not all came by motorcycle. I arrived around noon and was able to photograph in detail all motorcycles there. Let us hope this fun time becomes an annual event.
