From November until March Cycle World International Motorcycle Shows travels around to various cities with exhibits of the latest motorcycles and accessories. The manufacturers attending include Aprilia, Buell, Ducati, Harley Davidson, Honda, Husqvarna, Kawasai, Moto Guzzi, MV Augusta, Piaggio, Suzuki, Ural, Vespa, Victory, and Yamaha. This was the 25th year this event has been put on by Cycle World. It was in NYC from Friday Jan 20th until Sunday Jan 22 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center. Admission was $15 for adults and $5 for children. Probably the biggest benefit from coming if you are thinking about buying a new bike is that you can sit on and compare them all in one place. Unfortunately you can not ride them.

I arrived at the Jacob Javits Center (by car) from my home in NH at 10am Saturday Jan 21. One thing that became immediately apparent was that this was an unusally warm day for January in NYC and many vistors would be coming on their motorcycles. It actually got up to 64F later in the day and there were many bikes parked outside. So I got to photograph both inside and outside. Something I had not expected. Since I avoided using the flash as much as possible there are some blurry areas in many of the indoor photographs.
