This was the 10th year the Yankee Beemers have put on this show at the Larz Anderson Museum of Transportation in Brookline (Boston area) MA. The event was on a Sunday from 9-4. General admission was $5 adults and $3 students and seniors. It cost $10 to enter a bike for judging. Vendor fee was $50. Cycles can park within the museum grounds. Cars can find free parking on the streets.
We arrived around 8am Sunday morning after only getting a little lost. We hit a little rain driving down but it was not raining when we arrived. We set up a simple booth because of the threatening weather. As always a great bunch of bikes and riders began arriving. A truely breathtaking array of bikes began being assembled on the judging lawn which was laid out very systematically. We took pictures as fast as we could. And then the rain began but we still were taking lots of photos. Things still went on and the crowd still admired the bikes but a lot of people were getting very wet. At least it was relatively warm as it could get a lot worse than it was. So we left wet but happy and look forward to next year.
