Motorcyclist in the New England area are a hardy bunch of riders and they need to be. Who else would think of having a major motorcycle gathering in the almost certain painfully cold or wet weather of October. Although you never know as the weather becomes more mild from global warming this might a good time of year to hold a motorcycle event. This year it sure was. This is a riders meet as a good portion of the visitors come by motorcycles.

This was the 12th year for the European Motorcycle Day at the Larz Anderson Museum of Transportation in Brookline (Boston area) MA. In the early years the event was put on by the Yankee Beemers but more recently the museum has been organizing the event on it own. This year it was on Sunday Oct 8th. General admission was $5 adults and $3 students and seniors. There is some serious bike judging for those who want to enter their bike.

I arrived at 11am (by auto). The weather was near perfect. I had a busy time trying to photograph as many bikes as I could. I headed home at 3:15 after the judging and the bikes were quickly leaving.
