The Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club (VJMC) is a pretty familiar fixture at most vintage motorcycle meets. From around 1965 on the Japanese makes have been the dominant brands sold so there are more vintage Japanese bikes than any other kind. VJMC is an active club with a very nice bimonthly magazine. In each region of the country local members host smaller meets that are fun to attend. On Sunday August 13th Stuart and Elizabeth Convington who live in Lunenburg MA invited VJMC members to their home for their 2nd annual BBQ. Stuart has quite a collection of vintage Hondas and he had them set out for easy viewing. A good crowd arrived (mostly by bike) and everyone had a good time checking out the bikes and eating some great food.

I set out for Lunenburg MA early Sunday morning from my home in Cornish NH on my 1988 Suzuki GN400. It is a very reliable bike that usually gets 70+ mpg even at highway speeds. The ride was about 90 miles along scenic roads. The majority of the bikes I photographed were Hondas because of Stuart's large collection but there was a good showing for other Japanese makes too.
