A few times each year the United States Classic Racing Association (USCRA) holds races at the New Hampshire International Speedway (NHIS). This track is a great resource for the Northern New England area. Luckily there are periods between major car and motorcycle races where it is possible to use the track for events that are not major money makers such as vintage racing. A Monday in June during the Laconia Bike Week is one time and another time is the Labor Day Monday when the Granite State Chanpionships are held. This year this race were held on Monday September 4th.

I arrived at the Speedway at 10:30 Monday morning riding my 1978 Morini 3 1/2 the 70 miles to the track from my home. It costs $20 to get into the infield where the action happens. The races can be watched or you can visit the paddock area where the racers are preparing their bikes. The weather was pleasant and did not cause any problems during the races. I photographed lots of race bikes and some visiting bikes. At 3:30 I had to head for home.
