For vintage motorcycle lovers British machines live on as the most elegant joining of form and function. No fancy stuff. A motor to get you there fast and a frame you can rely on in the curves. Lots of shiny alloy metal curved in the most beautiful way. On June 21-22 2003 in Sturbridge MA there was a large gathering of British Iron to enjoy. The weather was not the greatest. But you can not be influenced by weather forcasts for events like this that happen once a year. On Saturday a light drizzle did not start until the late afternoon about the time we arrived. We missed the crowds and cycle riders who came earlier in the day but there were still lots of bikes and sights to photograph and we did.

This was the 20th annual Triumph Day Classic Weekend and was held at the Hamilton Rod and Gun Club in Sturbirdge MA on June 21-22. Saturday is Classic Day with judging in antique, classic, and modern cycles. Sunday is Triumph Day with Triumph and British bike Judging. Vendor sites were $35/day and minimum facility camping was allowed for vendors. General admission was $10 if done early or $15 at the gate. A Vintage Triumph was won in a drawing done on Sunday afternoon. You must be present to win. On Saturday night there was a Banquet/Party in the large dining hall. Many visitors stay at nearby motels and visit during the day and evening.
