Western Maine European Motorcycle Meet Bethel ME July 31 2005

This was the 6th annual Western Maine European Motorcycle Meet held at the Jordan Grand Hotel at Sunday River in Bethel Maine on July 29-31. It was a 3 day event starting with a Friday afternoon greeting at the Grand Hotel. On Saturday there was a pre-1975 Vintage Tour and self guided tours of the surrounding area. Saturday evening had live entertainment at the hotel. Sunday had a European and British Motorcycle Show from 11 to 1 with prizes and then a BBQ. The hotel is a nice place to stay and there are many campgrounds and motels in the area.

I rode over from Cornish NH on my 1961 BMW R60 on Sunday and got there around 10am and photographed until around 2pm. The roads in the area are fun to ride on a motorcycle. Lots of hills and curves and not much traffic. It was nice to see so many bikes of all varities from all over the northeast.
